Some Frequently Asked Questions and Answers which you may find helpful

We appreciate that when joining a league there are many questions you need answering. We have compiled a list of frequently asked ones which we hope can help you fill in the gaps and aid you in climatising to the community.

• What is "PELLUK"
  
• PELLUK = P.E.L.L.U.K = Pro Evo Live League UK. We are a community dedicated to Pro Evolution Soccer, who have set up a league for other PES fans to compete against.
  
  
• What Console do you play with?
  
• PELLUK is for XBOX360 PES enthusiasts and we play using XBOX LIVE.
  
  
• I have PES but on PS3, but this site is great and the folks seem like fun. Can i still join?
  
• You are more than welcome to join the community and post and interact, but obviously it would be a bit difficult for you to play against us!
  
  
• OK, this is great! Where do i sign up?
  
• Whoa there cowboy! You can't just join a league! We have a selection process and a waiting list!
  
  
• Oh OK, well i'm still interested!
  
• Good. First thing first sign up to the forums and introduce yourself. Then get posting and get involved in the newbie league that is running, and just play friendlies with other members. This is our screening process to make sure you aren't too slaggy. If you are interested in the newbie league send a forum or xbox live message to lodenve or superhands.
  
  
• Slaggy? What does that mean?
  
• Being slaggy refers to people who do any or all of the following: Play as Brazil/Inter/Barca all the time. Score Gay Goals (See below). Don't like playing with the lesser known teams. Put wingers on the opposite corner flags. Play 4 centre backs across the defence. Think Adriano is the greatest player ever. Anything which you wouldn't ordinarily see in a normal game of football.
  
  
• Uh oh - that makes me a slag!
  
• Then all you'll do in PELLUK is get abused. We are all here to have fun. Winning is nice, but winning at all costs? Get out more! pro Evo is a way of life, and we promote a non slaggy way of life. If you can't face that, then PELLUK is not for you.
  
  
• So why are "The Big Teams" removed from the league?
  
• If you need to ask the question, you haven't read this FAQ properly.
  
  
• What is a "Gay Goal"?
  
• A gay goal is a goal scored by running the ball down the byline, cutting it back to the edge of the 6 yard box so your keeper rashly dives out leaving your goal exposed to the oncoming player who slots it home. It is considered an exploitation of a bug in the game. It is also very widely frowned upon in the PELLUK community and if you score Gay Goals you will not be welcomed. Still not sure? • OK, I'm in the league, how do I arrange games?
  
• Once you are in the league you arrange with your own opponents convenient times via the forums and XBOX live.
  
  
• When can I play my games?
  
• You must not play your game before the start of the fixture window, unless arranged with the admins. Similarly, if you cannot get a fixture played within the window allocated, the admins must be informed as to why.
  
  
• How do I setup the games?
  
• All PELLUK games are PES2009 player matches. They are to be 15 minutes long with no ET or PENS (Unless cup competition rules apply - you will be made aware of this). We recommend random stadiums, weather settings etc. You MUST have condition arrows set to random. You must NOT use the dark coloured balls. The teams selected must be set to "All" as opposed to the default of "Club and National".
  
  
• After a game, how do I submit scores?
  
• From the Interactive menu above, there is a "Submit Score" link. Using this submits the score to the competitions administrator, and will be added to the database as and when they can.
  
  
• Oh my god, you guys want to know EVERYTHING!! How am I meant to keep track of these things during a game?
  
• We have provided an easy to download and print guide here. Print several of these off and have one handy when you play a league game. All PELLUK players need to fill this in, so everyone needs to just wait that extra couple of seconds after a goal, a red or yellow card etc to make sure these can be filled in.
  
  
• Why so complicated?
  
• Our motto is "The Home of Real Football". Our website, unlike many others, strives to be as close to a real league setup as possible. That includes stats, awards, transfers the works!
  
  
• What are "Korean Chips"?
  
• Korean chips were born during a PELLUK Forza session, and ASHY91's team had not turned up. He asked a mate to replace him, and during the race his mate said when he was finished he was going to get some curry and chips. This was misunderstood by everyone else in the room, who had thought he had said 'Korean chips' especially smudge09 who instantly said 'What the fuck are Korean Chips?'
  
  
• What happens if I get "Your opponent has quit the session" during a match?
  
• Then in theory you get awarded a 3-0 win as it does in XBOX live ranked mode. But we all know that its not necessarily as clear cut as that. If it was accidental then we recommend carrying the score over to a second game and playing only as many minutes as you had left in the original game. While form arrows and weather etc may have changed, we have found this is the fairest way of getting the result correct.
  
  
• What about "The connection has been severed" error message mid game?
  
• See above. If you have any doubts or queries, make some notes and get in contact with your league Admin.
  
  
• Who are the league Admins??

• Great! You can join our reserve list. As long as you keep active on the forums and playing in our friendly competitions then we'll keep you on our reserve list. When spaces become available in our leagues you'll be invited to join us.
