A little Etiquette goes a long way!

PELLUK prides itself on being the home of Real Football. Football played in a fair, fun and relaxed atmosphere. Sensible tactics and creative flair. We like to play football the way we want to see football.

With that in mind, we have formed some gamer etiquette guidelines. If your new to PELLUK then following these will ensure your reception to the community is warm and your admission to our league system much swifter.

  • Scoring cutbacks from the byline across the 6 yard box (See: Gay Goal in the FAQ) is frowned upon.

  • We like to see good passing football, people who make effective use of all 11 players and get the team passing and moving. There is nothing more satisfying than seeing defences broken down with precise passing and movement.

  • Deliberate hacks, especially last man hacks are completly unacceptable. They are illegal in real football and illegal here, if you like doing them don't expect to be around here for too long.

  • Everybody likes to win but not at the expense of a quality game of PES, time-wasting is not part of the game here, a one-goal lead is never enough. Players must not run around the corner flags or pass it around the back 4 to run down the clock.

  • Please make all efforts to arrange games with your scheduled opponents, DO NOT IGNORE any messages or game invites they may send

  • Good banter on the headset is a must. Chatting joking exciteable screams of joy and anguish are what makes PELLUK so much fun!

  • No abuse on the forum (Except for playful jesting of course)

  • A simple "Good game" at the end of the match, regardless of a win or loss is essential.

  • We don't like people playing ridiculous formations with 6 up front or with 4 centre backs. It's stupid and unrealistic. Unless of course your going into the last 10 minutes and throwing it all forward or defending a tight lead.

  • Its advisable to turn off notifications when playing as it causes the game to lag. There is nothing more infuriating than being through on goal only for a notification to lag the game.

  • Players ought to make all the efforts possible to reduce lag wherever possible. Examples are, disabling P2P downloading on PCs, reducing PES settings for background etc to speed the game up etc.

  • Its refreshing to have players who mix up the play and don't try and do the same thing over and over again.

  • Players who take the game too seriously and turn it into a hate match are not welcome in PELLUK.

  • If you are playing to win at all costs instead of having a laugh with other like minded people then you should reconsider joining PELLUK. Winning can be nice, but it's important to do it the right way. Here, the fun comes first, the competition comes second.
